This adage proves true time and again as beloved short stories and novels are adapted from the page to the screen. With screenwriters, directors and actors adding their own artistic interpretations to the original text, the filmed version may not resemble its source material.
While every reader’s imagination takes flight with the words on the page differently, we call all agree that a blend of character development, plot progression and a solid setting grab our attention.
Importance of Adaptations
It can be argued that powerful, moving, and enticing stories need to be shared with as large an audience as possible. This often includes taking words on the page and turning them into visual media–feature films, TV series, and limited streaming series.
